A New Bicycle!!

I cant do without a bicycle. On the day when my bike was stolen, i made a count... it took me 1384 steps to get home from the station. With a bicycle, it took me 5 mins. Heck!

So i went down to Sembawang to get a new bicycle. This new bike is rather attractive, with a matt blue frame, and it comes with a suspension. Performance wise, it is definitely uncomparable with my former trek bike *sob*, but im quite happy with the purchase. Fixed in the bell, back seat with cushion, stand and foot rest.

Meanwhile, i bought a really good lock this time round. Cost price was $32. But a successful bargain with the Uncle got me the bike with the all attachment and the lock for $315. (Well, i was intending to fork out around $200 before i went to the shop, but things arent always as ideal as u anticipate, rite?).

However, the shop keeper did warn that no lock is entirely safe, if someone comes along with a thick cutter, how good a lock is will eventually be useless. Unless u purchase a lock that cost $300 (u can get that online i believe). It guarantees the safety of your bike. In an event that the bike was stolen, the company will return u the cost price of the bike!!! Sounds cool rite? but a lock for $300? Eh... I think i'll stick to the $32 lock. I also read from the net (I've done some research on bicycle security k!) that some bicycle comes with a GPS, so u can track your bicycle with satellite if its stolen!!! Wah, sounds like Mission Impossible!!! William cruise in the making!!! But guess what, the bike cost more than $1000 USD. (no more William cruise liaoz)

So, a new bike for me now, have to be extra careful when it comes to choosing where to park my bike. Now, i'll pick a spot where there'll often be crowds. Hopefully, i dont have to come down with yet another heartbreak of a stolen bike.

Enough crap for today, going to play football manager now....
